The couple wanted candid, documentary-style photos that felt like the day actually felt, from the vows to the family hugs to the last light on the lawn.

We started with the empty chairs and the house in the afternoon sun, followed the ceremony from a respectful distance, and finished with portraits under the pines while dinner was served behind us.
